Orbeon Forms supports PDF templates. This feature requires mapping form fields to PDF fields. To achieve this, until now, you had to name the fields in the PDF to match the Form Runner fields.
With Orbeon Forms 2024.1.2, the “Control Settings” dialog is enhanced to let you set a custom PDF field name for each form field. This makes it easier to manage the mapping between form fields and PDF fields. If at least one PDF template already attached to the form, Form Builder will let you know if the field is not present in the PDF templates.
In addition, if there is at least one PDF template already attached to the form, you can directly pick a field name from the list instead of having to type it in.
